A new home for Avlo
A new website, a newsroom, and a waitlist for the two apps we’re about to put in the App Store.
Avlo is a small studio that makes two apps for iPhone. Focus keeps your coursework, notes and deadlines in one place. Nimbus tells you what the sky is doing, and nothing else. Until today neither had much of a home on the web. Now they do.
What’s here
Each app has its own page with a proper tour: real screens, and what each one is for. There’s a support page with answers to common questions and a form that reaches a real person. There’s one privacy policy covering both apps, written in plain English, because both apps now share one account.
And there’s this newsroom. It’s where we’ll post release notes, the thinking behind bigger changes, and the occasional look at how the apps are made.
The waitlist
Both apps are in private testing. If you’d like to know the day they reach the App Store, join the waitlist. We’ll email you once for each app you pick, and that’s it. No newsletter, no drip campaign.
If you’re a student and can’t wait, Focus already runs in your browser at projectfocus.avlo.app, on the same account the iPhone app will use.
What we care about
A few things show up in everything we make. Surfaces are solid, and glass is kept for one element. One colour means “you can tap this”. Notifications have to be worth the interruption. Both apps share a single design system, so they feel like one family rather than two products that happen to share a logo.
More soon.
